Moldovan President Maia Sandu called for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria, because they violate the neutrality of the republic. She made such a statement at the plenary session of the European Parliament.

“Today there is no imminent threat of involving Moldova in the war. We are a neutral country, but for this we call for the withdrawal of the Russian military from the territory of Pridnestrovie, because their presence violates our neutrality,” Sandu said, RIA Novosti reports. According to her, Moldova is trying to find a solution to the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Transnistria, which would take into account the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

An operational group of Russian troops is located in Pridnestrovie, the business publication “Sight“. Its main task is to protect ammunition depots and a peacekeeping mission, writes life. At the end of April, a series of explosions occurred in Transnistria, after which a red level of terrorist danger was introduced there and the Victory Parade was canceled. Earlier, Sandu dramatically changed her attitude towards Russia. Moldova also entered into military cooperation with Ukraine.
