In a grand ceremony at the White House US President Joe Biden presented Presidential Medal of Freedom nation’s highest civilian honor to 19 renowned individuals for their exceptional contributions in various fields, including politics, human rights, entertainment, science, and sports.
This event highlighted presence of notable figures such as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who received special recognition. Actor and director Denzel Washington honored for his outstanding career in entertainment, while Bono. The lead singer of Irish band U2 acknowledged for his humanitarian efforts.

For the first time a fashion designer, Ralph Lauren, received this prestigious award, marking a milestone in the fashion world. From the sports sector, football star Lionel Messi was also among the honorees, although he could not attend the event.
List of recipients also included individuals who made significant contributions to science, human rights, and social service.
