Seeing the active response of Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi after the Lakhimpuri Kheri violence, it was said that a new life has been breathed in the Congress party. Meanwhile, election strategist Prashant Kishor has targeted the same Congress in a tweet, in which till a few days ago there was speculation about his joining. PK has termed the political activities after the Lakhimpur violence as a misunderstanding of the Congress’s comeback.
PK has tweeted, ‘Those who think that the Congress led opposition will make a quick comeback because of the Lakhimpur incident, they are in misunderstanding.’ Let us tell you that according to reports, the talks between Prashant Kishor and Congress have broken down and PK is working behind the scenes for Mamta.
It is also worth noting that PK has not named Congress anywhere in this tweet. However, instead of Congress, he has written ‘GOP’ i.e. Grand Old Party in the tweet, which makes it clear that his target is on the Congress side. PK also wrote that unfortunately there is no immediate solution to the deep problem and structural weakness of the Grand Old Party (Congress).
People looking for a quick, spontaneous revival of GOP led opposition based on #LakhimpurKheri incidents are setting themselves up for a big disappoinment.
Unfortunately there are no quick fix solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of GOP.

Working for TMC?
After the Bengal assembly elections, PK formally announced that he was not working for Mamata Banerjee. However, some developments in the meantime have indicated that PK is working behind the scenes for Mamata Banerjee after talks with the Congress broke down. Recently former Goa CM and Congress leader Luizinho Fellero joined TMC. Falero had officially made this statement that election strategist Prashant Kishor and his group IPAC had approached him to join Mamata Banerjee’s party i.e. TMC.
