Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki urged NATO colleagues to provide Ukraine with more weapons.

“We are not doing enough to protect Ukraine, to support the Ukrainian people in their defense of freedom and sovereignty. Therefore, I urge you to do much more in the supply of weapons, artillery weapons to Ukraine,” Morawiecki said after a meeting of representatives of NATO countries – EU members in The Hague on June 14.

At the same time, the Polish prime minister insists that weapons must be delivered to Ukraine urgently.

“It is important to focus on effective assistance and support to Ukraine here and now, and not in a few weeks or months,” he said.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said on Tuesday that Kyiv received from the West only 10% of the weapons it needs. At the same time, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov said that the initial request of the Ukrainian troops for 155 mm NATO artillery was fulfilled by 90%. According to him, the existing weapons would be enough for Kyiv to fight any army in Europe, but not the Russian one.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin On February 24, he announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the request of the leaders of the Donbass republics for help. He stressed that Moscow’s plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories. After that, the US, EU, UK, as well as a number of other states announced that they were imposing sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities.
