
In the Shatrovsky district of the Kurgan region, police detained a man who shot two roe deer and wanted to take their carcasses. It caused damage in the amount of 80 thousand rubles, according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
“DPS officers saw a car in the forest and heard several shots. They later discovered the carcasses of two roe deer in the forest. After some time, a man appeared near the shooting site. He tried to escape, but was detained on suspicion of illegal hunting. The suspect caused damage in the amount of 80 thousand rubles,” the department’s website reports.
The attacker turned out to be a 57-year-old resident of the village of Shatrovo. He had a firearm with him. It was established that he did not have permission to shoot wild animals. An investigator from the Kargapolsky Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under the article “Illegal Hunting”, the maximum penalty for which is imprisonment for a term of up to two years.
