About 1,000 protesters gathered in the suburb of Richmond. To avoid the administration, the protesters changed the venue at the last moment. Minor clashes also took place in this demonstration. Many protesters were arrested. Most of the protesters also violated the rules by not wearing masks.
About two thousand police officers were deployed and barricades were put up at check posts on the roads.
The lockdown began in Melbourne for the sixth time from August 5. Melbourne is the capital of the state of Victoria, where 535 new cases of corona virus were reported on Saturday and one person died in 24 hours.
