Poland is disappointed with the preliminary draft of the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia, as it does not include the state corporation Rosatom. This was reported on Monday by the Polish radio station RMF, citing Polish Ambassador to the EU Andrzej Sados.
According to him, the content of the project is “below Polish expectations”, since it does not provide for sanctions against Rosatom, there is no ban on the import of Russian diamonds and the exclusion of Gazprom from the UER (Upstream Emission Reduction) system, which provides for the trading of emission certificates during mining hydrocarbons.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine called on EU leaders to impose sanctions against Rosatom. Vladimir Zelensky. On February 12, in an interview with radio station Kossuth, the Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stated that Budapest does not support any sanctions that would limit access to nuclear energy or cooperation with Russia in this area.
