PM Narendra Modi will dedicate 7 new defense companies to the country on the occasion of Vijayadashami. Along with this, he will also address the program organized by the Ministry of Defense through video conferencing. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and some senior officials will be present on this occasion. According to the information given by the PM’s office, it has been decided to convert the Ordnance Factory Board into 7 defense companies with 100% stake of the government. This decision has been taken to make the country self-reliant in terms of defense resources. The PMO said that with this decision, companies engaged in the direction of manufacturing of armaments in the country will get autonomy and their capacity will increase.
The 7 new defense companies that have been proposed to be created by the central government include Munitions India Limited, Armored Vehicles Corporation Limited, Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited. Apart from this, Troops Comforts Limited, Yantra India Limited, India Optel Limited and Gliders India Limited are included. Let us tell you that PM Narendra Modi has often been emphasizing on manufacturing weapons and necessary military resources in India itself. The government believes that this will give a boost to Make in India and the country will be self-reliant in terms of defense resources.
