Work on the creation of a new payment system for Russian tourists in Turkey is already underway. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
“Work is underway in this direction,” said Peskov RIA Novosti, when asked to comment on the information that the presidents of the Russian Federation and Turkey – Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan – agreed to develop a new payment system for Russian tourists.
According to the Turkish publication Hürriyet, the payment system is called Rebit kart. Tourists from Russia, who are vacationing in the republic, will be able to use it, including through an application on a smartphone.
