Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov denies the information that the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev refused to accept the Order of Alexander Nevsky. According to him, it was not planned to award Mr. Tokayev. Earlier, Kazakh political scientist Yerbol Yedilov announced his refusal to accept the Russian award. “I don’t know where this information comes from, because no awards were planned. There were no such plans,” said Mr. Peskov to the publication. “Climb”.
Yerbol Elilov in his Telegram channel said that Mr. Tokayev thanked the Russian side for the honor. “However, he decided not to accept either domestic or foreign awards until the end of his presidential powers. For the same reason, during a recent visit to Bishkek, the president refused the highest Kyrgyz order “Manas” of the first degree,” he wrote.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is one of the foreign leaders invited as speakers to the anniversary, 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which runs from June 15 to 18. Mr. Tokayev spoke at the plenary session of the forum, and also held a number of bilateral meetings.
