Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov assessed the situation in the regions bordering Ukraine. He noted that “a rather alarming situation” is observed in these regions.

On Wednesday, a Kremlin spokesman answered journalists’ questions at a regular briefing. At the same time, during the conversation, he spoke about the difficult situation in the south of the country, as Ukrainian militants are attacking civilian infrastructure.

“Measures are being taken,” Peskov added, referring to the protection of people and the prevention of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the administration of the Belgorod region decided to evacuate children from dangerous areas. According to the regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkovon Wednesday, 300 minors from Graivoronsky and Shebekinsky urban districts will be transported to Voronezh.
