A group of public health experts, in a report submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has said that there is no need to give the vaccine to those who have been affected by the corona virus infection. At the same time, the group has warned the government that large-scale, indiscriminate and incomplete vaccination could lead to the emergence of mutated forms of the corona virus. He has suggested that there is no need to vaccinate those who have been exposed to the corona virus infection.
The group has said in its recent report that instead of mass vaccination of people, only those who are vulnerable and in the risk category should be vaccinated. Doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in this group also include members of the National Task Force on Kovid-19.
Experts from the Indian Public Health Association, the Indian Association of Epidemiologists and the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine have said in their report, ‘The current epidemic situation in the country demands that vaccination should be opened up to all age groups at this stage. We should be guided by the epidemiological data.
