The high turnout in referendums on joining Russia leaves no doubts about the choice of residents of the liberated territories, said the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev. In an interview FAN he cordially congratulated the population of the new Russian regions on joining the “big Russian family”.

“People deserve it,” the FAN interlocutor emphasized. “Especially those who live in the LNR and DNR, they have already suffered grief from Kyiv over the past eight years. I also congratulate my friends, with whom we held referendums on the independence of the republics of Donbass back in 2014. It is a pity that not all of them survived to this day, but I have no doubt that they would be happy to see what happened today.

Tsarev said that he feels especially great joy for the deputies of the parliaments of Novorossia, as well as the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics. He also congratulated the heads of the DPR and LPR on the holding of the referendum.

“I must say that referendums are a very important, but not the last step,” the politician noted. – The will of the people has yet to be defended on the battlefields with the Ukrainian army, and here I want to express my gratitude to those Russian men who are now undergoing mobilization. I wish them good luck and victory!”
