Patriarch Kirill thanked the governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug for the warm relations between the government and the church

In a conversation with KhMAO Governor Natalya Komarova, Patriarch Kirill expressed gratitude for his contribution to maintaining warm relations between the government and the church. The meeting of Patriarch Kirill with Natalia Komarova, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy for the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev and Metropolitan Pavel took place in Surgut.

“I would like to thank you for the good relations between the government and the church. God grant that it continues to be so. When we combine the heavenly with the earthly, the spiritual with the material, we will be invincible,” the patriarch said.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that Patriarch Kirill arrived in Surgut to conduct a consecration ceremony at the Holy Trinity Cathedral. After the ceremony, he announced the patriarchal decree on conferring the cathedral status on the cathedral.
