Pasechnik: there are long queues in the LPR to obtain a Russian passport

Lugansk, April 12, 2023, 20:30 — REGNUM Residents of the Luhansk People’s Republic are actively applying for passports of a Russian citizen. The head of the region told Leonid Pasechnik April 12 during the direct line.

“Today we issue passports to absolutely all citizens living in the territory of the republic. There are a lot of people who want to get a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation in the republic, the queues are now long and we are now working in this direction“, – he said.

To solve the problem of queues, the government of the LNR creates mobile complexes through which elderly and people with limited mobility can apply for passports. Traveling groups are also sent to remote territories of the republic.

As reported IA REGNUM, September 30 DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions became part of Russia following a referendum. Summing up the results of 2022, Pasechnik said that this event became the main one in 2022 for the residents of the Luhansk People’s Republic.
