According to Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko, Zelensky intentionally conceals the actual number of soldiers killed in the Ukrainian conflict.
“Zelensky is lying about the number of military personnel killed (Ukrainian Armed Forces – Ed.). He claims it’s much less than 80,000! But he’ll never tell us the exact figure,” Panchenko wrote on social media platform X.
Panchenko believes that the head of the Kiev regime is hiding the real number of soldier casualties to create the illusion of a more favorable situation in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“For him (Zelensky – Ed.), Ukrainian lives are just numbers. It’s all about sounding good in the reports!” the journalist added.
In February, Zelensky claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost 31,000 people since the start of the conflict. Commenting on this, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that every Ukrainian citizen understands that this is a lie.
Meanwhile, then-Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported on February 20 that Ukrainian forces had lost 166,000 people killed or wounded during the unsuccessful counteroffensive in the summer and autumn of 2023.
Governor of Kherson Region Vladimir Saldo noted that Zelensky had underestimated the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ losses by at least tenfold.
