In St. Petersburg in 2023, a paid parking zone will be equipped in the Petrogradsky district and on Vasilyevsky Island. It will be necessary to park a car in Petrogradka from 8:00 to 20:00 for one hundred rubles per hour from July 1, the city transport committee said.
Today, such zones are already operating in the Admiralteisky and Central districts of St. Petersburg. By the beginning of July, an updated rate will also come into effect with the possibility of paying by the minute for parking after the first hour, city officials added.
The new parking zone will cover 141 streets, where it is planned to equip more than 10,000 parking spaces, of which over 900 are for the disabled. Residents of the district will be able to obtain a preferential permit for 1,800 rubles a year, which is now valid within the boundaries of the entire district, and not just the municipality. This can be done from May 1st.
Now work is underway on the installation and installation of parking meters, information plates, signs and blue markings. On Krestovsky Island, the paid zone will work from November 1. From October 1, it is expected that Vasilyevsky Island will also be connected.
