Our troops thwarted an attempt to break through the assault group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the group “South”

The Russian military, conducting military operations in the Lisichansk Avdeevka and Maryinsky directions, continue to destroy the enemy’s manpower and military infrastructure and conduct effective counter-battery combat.

This was told by the head of the press center of the group “South” Colonel Vadim Astafiev. His statement published on Saturday, May 27 on the official resources of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It follows from the report that the aircraft of the group carried out rocket and bomb strikes on the point of temporary deployment of the 81st airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Lisichansk direction.

Also, strikes were carried out on the accumulation of weapons and military equipment of the 24th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Toretsk, and on the accumulation of manpower, reserves and ammunition depot of the 110th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka.

“The crew of the Solntsepek TOS of the radiation, chemical and biological defense unit of the Southern Military District destroyed the enemy’s platoon stronghold in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Krasnogorovka”, the colonel reported.

He also said that the motorized rifle and artillery units of the group thwarted an attempt to break through the front line of the Ukrainian sabotage assault group in the Alexander-Kalinovsky direction.

Previously EADaily reported that the Russian military from the “Southern” group of troops, during the fighting near Belogorovka, captured two groups of Ukrainian paratroopers from the 81 airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
