The ceremony of signing agreements on the inclusion of new territories in the Russian Federation will be held on September 30 at 15:00 in the Kremlin. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia, told reporters about this.

The signing of the documents will take place in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, he added.

“There will be a voluminous speech by President Putin at this event. This is not a message from the president to the Federal Assembly, it is very important not to confuse,” TASS quoted a Kremlin spokesman as saying. “This is a different format, the President’s message will take place later, we will inform about it in a timely manner,” he said.

According to Peskov, it is planned to sign agreements on the entry of new subjects into the Russian Federation before consideration of related issues by the Federation Council. They will be signed with all four territories whose residents voted in referendums on September 23-27 to be with Russia, the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov also said that on the sidelines of the ceremony, President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting in the Kremlin with the heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

From 23 to 27 September, referendums were held on the territory of these four regions on the issue of their entry into Russia. According to the results of processing 100 percent of ballots in the DPR, 99.23 percent of residents voted for the region to join the Russian Federation, 98.42 percent in the LPR, 93.11 percent in the Zaporozhye region, and 87.05 percent in the Kherson region.
