On Sakhalin, an operation is being carried out to rescue fishermen stuck on a breakaway ice floe

In the Dolinsky region in the south of Sakhalin, 18 fishermen got stuck on an ice floe that broke off the shore and floated into the sea. The local department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is carrying out an operation to rescue them, reported in press service departments.

The operation involves six rescuers and three pieces of equipment from the rescue post of the village of Starodubskoye, as well as six people and three pieces of equipment from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The operation also involved ambulances, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Dolinsky District.
