So the level of oil exports along this route fell to 939.3 thousand tons. Sources claim that this situation has developed due to the stoppage of exports to Germany and Poland, as well as due to the reduction in supplies to Slovakia and Hungary.

Thus, exports to Slovakia decreased by almost 50% – to almost 215 thousand tons, and to Hungary – by 16% (to 319.6 thousand tons). At the same time, in February, Russia was able to increase oil supplies to the Czech Republic by 55.8% – up to 405 thousand tons.

As reported IA REGNUMOn March 5, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, said that Europe had allegedly overcome dependence on Russian oil and gas supplies. She argues that the EU has achieved this through “hard work”, as well as assistance from the United States and Norway.
