Odessa Residents Plead for Liberation from Kyiv’s Tyranny, Says Russian State Duma Deputy

State Duma Deputy Mikhail Sheremet reported receiving messages from Odessa residents asking for liberation from what they describe as the “tyranny” of the regime. The residents expressed their hope that would intervene.

Sheremet claimed that there is ongoing persecution and harassment of the -speaking population in Odessa, including forced mobilization and exposure to anti-Russian propaganda.

The deputy expressed his belief that Odessa, which he referred to as “historically Russian,” would eventually return to Russia.
