Obtaining citizenship and residence permit in Russia will be transferred to electronic form

Moscow, 23 March 2023, 14:35 — REGNUM Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin promised to promptly transfer to electronic form the procedure for obtaining citizenship and residence permits, documents for employment. The head of government announced this on March 23 during a speech in the State Duma with a report on the work of the government for 2022.

Mishustin stressed that it is necessary to debug all processes for the convenience of people.

As reported IA REGNUMformer Director of the Tourism Development Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Tatiana Sharshavitskaya at the session of the V All-Russian Congress of Travel Agents, she announced that the systems of electronic visas and tourist payment cards will become available to foreigners in Russia by the end of 2023. The procedure for introducing electronic visas in the country was frozen in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
