North Korea fired a missile into the Sea of ​​Japan, a South Korean news agency reported. “Yonhap”. This is the sixth missile launch by North Korea in the past two weeks.

The agency did not provide details of what happened. The missile was fired after the US redeployed the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan to the Sea of ​​Japan amid past North Korean launches.

Last week, the DPRK made at least four missile launches; on October 4, the military launched a missile towards Japan. The launches come amid the largest joint U.S.-South Korean military exercise in five years. On October 5, the United States and South Korea responded by firing four missiles into the Sea of ​​Japan.
