no final text on nuclear deal — EADaily, August 11, 2022 — Politics, Europe News

Iranian officials dismissed comments from EU diplomats about reaching a final text during the latest round of talks in Vienna on a renewed nuclear deal. This was reported by the Fars news agency on August 11.

The Iranian side stated that “so far, no text on the agreement has been finalized.” After more than 15 months of talks in the Austrian capital, a senior EU diplomat Enrique Mora announced that the EU had submitted its final text regarding the bailout of the deal.

Josep Borrellthe EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, also tweeted: “What can be negotiated has been agreed and is now reflected in the final text”.

Tehran, on the other hand, denies such a development of events. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi previously repeatedly stated that the responsibility at this stage lies with the United States, which must demonstrate a serious approach to negotiations and not impose unnecessary conditions.
