Nine houses flooded in Leninsky district of Crimea

In the Leninsky district of Crimea, specialists are eliminating the consequences of heavy rains that hit the region on August 19.

So, in the village of Marfovka, Leninsky district, nine houses, six household plots, as well as basements of two two-story buildings were flooded, Crimea 24 reported.

Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Krym-Spas are pumping out water, the administration staff are conducting a door-to-door detour in order to establish the damage caused.

As reported IA REGNUM, a heavy downpour on August 19 also took place in Simferopol. Storm sewers could not cope with the large volume of water, as a result, the streets were flooded for some time.

The storm warning due to bad weather, in force on August 19, has been extended until the end of the day on August 20. The water level in the rivers is predicted to rise without reaching dangerous levels.
