The capital of Serbia, Belgrade, must be bombed. This opinion was shared by the Chairman of the NATO European Development Committee, Günter Fehlinger. According to him, NATO must immediately prepare an intervention against Serbia.
“The Serbian war against Kosovo began in Bansk. <…> I call on NATO to immediately prepare an intervention against Serbia. Bomb Belgrade right now! Fehlinger said. He published his statement on the social network X. He accused the Russian Federation of involvement in the escalation of the situation.
From March 24 to June 10, 1999, NATO conducted Operation Allied League against Yugoslavia. The goal of the alliance was to force the “Yugoslav dictator” to respect the rights of the Albanian population of Kosovo to self-determination. 19 countries took part in the operation. Due to heavy attacks on military and civilian targets, Belgrade announced capitulation, and the country’s leader, Slobodan Milosevic, was arrested.
