Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ukraine and Poland on August 21–23, according to media reports. The visit will also play a role in improving diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Narendra Modi will visit Poland and Ukraine from August 21 to 23, 2024, the Indian popular news television channel NDTV reported on Monday, citing a statement from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
“The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Poland and Ukraine from August 21–23, 2024,” the channel’s news release said.
“During the visit to Poland, according to the information we have, the main focus will be on military-technical cooperation. According to the Polish authorities, however, the negotiations that will take place during the visit will concern political and trade-economic cooperation between the two countries,” the TV channel also reports.

According to the statement, it will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 40 years, and through this visit, the relationship between the two countries will be established.
Among other things, it will be dedicated to celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Modi is visiting Ukraine for the first time since the war with Russia.
