American entrepreneur Elon Musk has personally donated nearly $75 million to political committee supporting US presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign, America PAC, according to a report published on the Federal Election Commission (FEC) website.
Musk has previously expressed his support for Trump on his social media platform X.
Data from FEC report shows that Musk has donated $74.95 million to Trump’s campaign between July and September.
The Hill reports that this report is first published document from America PAC committee. According to the publication, another report is due on October 24, which will cover period from October 1-16.
Over time, Musk has become increasingly politically active and regularly comments on US politics on his X social media platform.
While he has publicly criticized both Democrats and Republicans in past, claiming he doesn’t support either party, his views have become increasingly conservative, and this year, he openly declared his support for Republican Party.
