After the action of Narcotics Control Bureau on a cruise ship in Mumbai, this whole matter has become heated. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Wednesday alleged that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2 was “fake” and that no narcotics were found during this period. Was not found. The party also questioned the presence of two people with the NCB team during the raids and alleged that one of them was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

NCP’s allegation – the raid was fake

NCP spokesperson and Maharashtra Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik claimed, “It (raid) was a fake drama. They did not find any intoxicants on the ship.” He also released some videos which are said to be related to the raids. The NCP leader said the man named ‘Gosavi’ seen in a video carrying Aryan Khan is not an NCB officer and as per his social media profile he is a private detective residing in Kuala Lumpur.

Nawab Malik has also shown two viral video clips. They claim that in one of these, KP Gosavi is seen taking Aryan Khan to the NCB office. Apart from this, Manish Bhanushali is seen in the second clip, who is seen taking Arbaaz Merchant to the NCB office. Talking to the media at the NCP office in South Mumbai, Nawab Malik said, “Bhanushali, who reached the NCB office with a merchant, is a BJP worker.”

NCB replied

Meanwhile, NCB Deputy Inspector General Dnyaneshwar Singh said in a statement that “some of the allegations” leveled against the agency are baseless and are likely to be leveled “in response to legal action” which it has taken earlier. He said the NCB process has been and will be “professional and legally transparent and fair.” Prabhakar Cell, Kiran Gosavi, Manish Bhanushali, Aubrey Gomez, Adil Usmani, V Vegankar, Aparna Rane, Persons named Prakash Bahadur, Shoaib Faiz and Muzammil Ibrahim were associated with NCB as independent witnesses (panch).

Manish Bhanushali clarified

Here, BJP worker Manish Bhanushali has denied the allegations made by NCP leader Nawab Malik in the Mumbai cruise drugs case in front of the media. He said that the BJP has nothing to do with the cruise drugs case and the arrest of Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in connection with it. He said, ‘Nawab Malik has made false allegations against me. BJP has nothing to do with these arrests. I got information on October 1 that there is going to be a drugs party and I informed NCB about it. I was on the ship with NCB officials as I had information about it.

Bhanushali further said, ‘I do not have any official position in the BJP. I gave this information being a conscious citizen of the country. I have come to know that last month a relative of Nawab Malika was arrested in the drugs case. Bhanushali has further said, ‘I will file a defamation case against Malik. He has put my life in danger. I will request the administration to provide me security.

Devendra Fadnavis counterattack

Responding to NCP’s allegations, former Maharashtra CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said, “The question is not who was there and who was not or whether he was associated with the BJP or not… the question is whether there were drugs on the cruise.” The party was going on and if it was going on then does Nawab Malik support it. Why are they not talking about it? Devendra Fadnavis further said that the evidence says that drugs were coming in and a drugs party was going on on the cruise.

Fadnavis claimed that Malik was criticizing NCB because one of his relatives was directly arrested in the case. Fadnavis was referring to Sameer Khan, son-in-law of Nawab Malik. Sameer Khan was arrested by NCB in connection with drugs.
