Mozambique canceled tourist visas for Russian citizens

The Council of Ministers of Mozambique has abolished visas for tourist and business travel for citizens from 28 countries, including Russia. This is stated in a statement on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the state.

The list of countries whose citizens will be able to visit Mozambique without these entry documents includes Belgium, Great Britain, Ghana, Germany, Denmark, Israel, Indonesia, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Côte d’Ivoire, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Arab Emirates, Portugal , Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, USA, Ukraine, Finland, France, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea and Japan.

“The Council of Ministers approved a resolution exempting the list of countries from the need to obtain tourist and business visas to enter the country,” the publication states.

Now the Russians will be able to stay in Mozambique for up to 30 days with the possibility of a further extension of this period for another 60 days.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic, Kazem Jalali, said in an interview with Parliamentary Newspaper that the Iranian direction remains open for Russian tourists. According to him, it is important that the Russians could get acquainted in detail with the potential opportunities of the country in this area.

“While we are living here in the cold weather of Moscow, on the coast of the Persian Gulf, on the beautiful islands of Kish and Qeshm, people are already swimming in such pleasant spring weather. The climate and nature in general in Iran are varied. And we have a lot of historical monuments. On the other hand, the level of security in Iran is the highest. This creates a favorable atmosphere in which our Russian friends can use all the opportunities that our country has,” the diplomat noted.
