Moscow pointed out the risks of a trip to the ZNPP by IAEA specialists

Igor Vishnevetsky, Deputy Director of the Department for Nonproliferation and Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, warns that the arrival of a mission of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the Zaporozhye NPP through Kyiv is unsafe, since this will have to cross the front line.

“Imagine what it means through Kyiv. This means that they will enter the ZNPP through the front line. This is a huge risk, given that the Ukrainian armed forces are heterogeneous armed formations,” quotes Vishnevetsky’s words to RIA Novosti.

The diplomat added that the side of Kyiv is represented not only by professional military personnel, but also by members of the territorial defense and national battalions that are not subordinate to the country’s Ministry of Defense. These people, according to Vishnevetsky, are capable of any provocation: if the IAEA delegation went across the front line, “anything could happen to it.”
