The Russian Embassy in the United States reacted to the statement of American officials and diplomats about the transfer of nuclear weapons from Russia to Belarus. The diplomatic mission believes that in the conditions of the “hybrid war unleashed by Washington”, Moscow and Minsk should ensure their security.

“We would like to emphasize that we are talking about the sovereign right of Russia and Belarus to ensure their security in the ways that we consider necessary in the context of the large-scale hybrid war unleashed by Washington against us,” the embassy said in a statement. Telegram.

Russian diplomats believe that the measures taken by Moscow and Minsk are in line with international obligations. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted that control over nuclear weapons remains with the Russian side.
