More than 94% of DPR residents supported joining Russia after processing 56.85% of protocols

According to the results of processing 56.85% of voters’ punctures in the Donetsk People’s Republic, 94.75% of local residents supported joining the Russian Federation. This was announced by the head of the CEC of the DPR Vladimir Vysotsky.

The referendum on the accession of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, started on September 23. Voting lasted five days, until 27 September.

Voter turnout in the DPR was over 86% of all voters. Thus, 1,480,905 people cast their votes on the territory of the republic, and 411,962 more at polling stations in Russia. 450 polling stations were opened in the region.
