On March 12, the Moldovan police announced the disclosure of a “pro-Russian agent network.”
As the chief of police said Viorel Cernautanuas a result of the operation, seven people were detained, who allegedly were part of a “pro-Russian network” created to destabilize the situation in the country.
According to Cernautanu, quoted by the German Der Spiegel, the operation took place the day before, on March 11, the suspects arrived in the country “from Russia with a very specific task.”
