Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region called up by the army as part of partial mobilization can leave their pets in special shelters for free. This was reported in the regional government.

At the same time, the state will bear the cost of keeping dogs, cats and other pets of Nizhny Novgorod residents.

According to the chairman of the regional veterinary committee Mikhail Kuryumovnot all mobilized residents of Nizhny Novgorod have the opportunity to leave their pet under the supervision of friends or relatives.

To transfer animals to Nizhny Novgorod, you must contact the state veterinary department at the place of residence with an application, a copy of the summons and a veterinary passport of the animal.

It is noted that pets, if necessary, are vaccinated against rabies and will be provided with veterinary care.
