    The government will allocate another 50 billion rubles. to speed up work on the construction of the M12 highway from Moscow to Kazan, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. In early June, the head of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, asked President Vladimir Putin to finance the construction of a highway.

    “Earlier, the government has already allocated funds to speed up work, and today we will allocate another 50 billion rubles. These resources will allow for advanced construction. We expect that thanks to such support, sites in the Moscow and Vladimir regions will be put into operation ahead of schedule, already this year. Their total length will be about 100 km,” he said at a government meeting (quoted from site office).

    Mr. Mishustin also noted that the government will allocate over 380 million rubles. for the construction of a highway in Saransk, which will make it possible to complete an important project for Mordovia before the end of the year. According to him, this route “will help industrial enterprises speed up the delivery of goods and reduce costs.”

    At the end of July, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin declaredthat 95 km of the Moscow-Kazan-Ekaterinburg route will be built by the end of the year. He noted that the main course of the route is planned to be launched by the end of 2023.
