As Kommersant wrote, a criminal case against the deputy was initiated in July of this year after an audit conducted by the TFR. It is being investigated under Part 1 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (distribution of fakes about the army). The reason for initiating the case was Ms. Pirogova’s tweet about the funeral of the Russian military to one of the publications in the media: “It’s simply inexpressible, I want to revive them all, hit them hard on the cheeks and let them go back to the graves. And then in vain, or something, they arranged such a luxurious funeral, ”she wrote (quote from EADaily). Helga Pirogova later deleted this comment, calling it too emotional.

Helga Pirogova is a well-known politician in Novosibirsk. She was elected to the city council from the “Coalition-2020”, which united a number of independent deputies of Novosibirsk. Recall that in November last year, another deputy of the Novosibirsk City Council from the Coalition-2020 Sergey Boyko also left Russia.
