Ministry of Internal Affairs puts journalist Michael Nucky on the wanted list for discrediting the Russian army

A criminal case was opened against journalist Mike Naki under the article on discrediting the Russian army (Article 207.3 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Ministry of Internal Affairs put him on the wanted list, the journalist said on Twitter. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Michael Naki is accused in the same criminal case with blogger and Conflict Intelligence Team founder Ruslan Leviev. The case was opened on March 16. This became known at a meeting on choosing a measure of restraint for Mr. Liviev, which took place today in the Moscow City Court.

Since February 24, Michael Naki, together with Ruslanov Leviev, has been making daily reports on the progress of the Russian military operation in Ukraine on the YouTube video hosting. The Conflict Intelligence Team is a group specializing in open source investigations. The group covers military conflicts, including the conflict in the Donbass and in Syria.

Michael Nucky is a Russian journalist. He worked for Ekho Moskvy radio for several years, since 2019 he has been conducting his own streams together with the former host of Ekho Moskvy Alexander Plushev. Since the summer of 2021, Mr. Naki has been in Georgia.
