The Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov said that schools in the territories bordering Ukraine and Donbass will start studying in a standard full-time mode, the introduction of distance learning is not planned. However, Mr. Kravtsov noted that the authorities will be guided by the situation.
“There are no plans to transfer to distance or distance learning. All schools in the Russian Federation, including those in the border areas, are preparing for the new academic year,” said Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov.
On August 3, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that schools and kindergartens located in the five-kilometer border zone to Ukraine would not open by September 1. Today, August 9, in the Belgorod region, the “yellow” level of terrorist threat was extended until August 22. Also, the regime was extended in the Kursk region until August 23.
Yesterday, August 8, at a meeting of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov and the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin declaredthat the form of education in the DPR will depend on the level of security. This issue will be decided by September 1st.
At the end of February, schools were suspended in the Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions. In April, they were transferred to remote mode.
