Ouagadougou, 10 April. Units of the Armed Forces of Burkina Faso crushed militant camp in the northern part of the country on the border with Mali.
According to representatives of the Armed Forces of the state, the radicals tried to break into the territory of the neighboring neighboring republic. The plane patrolling in the sky transmitted the coordinates of the criminals to the ground detachments of government troops.
During the clashes, the fighters of the national army eliminated several terrorists who had taken refuge in the ruins of abandoned houses. After clearing the area, the servicemen discovered a cache of ammunition, which they blew up on the spot.
Earlier, the Air Force of Burkina Faso launched several airstrikes on the positions of radicals from the Islamic State * in the Greater Sahara (EIGS) group (banned in the Russian Federation). During the attack, the attack aircraft destroyed several dozen criminals, as well as a large number of vehicles.
