Russian special operation in Ukraine
Western countries have to remove Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems from the protection of their own facilities in order to give them to Ukraine to protect President Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated by Corresponding Member of the Academy of Military Sciences, military diplomat, Candidate of Military Sciences Alexander Bartosh in an interview with URA.RU.
“Patriot is not so much in the US and among the allies. Therefore, they remove these complexes from duty at their facilities and send them to Ukraine. This is such a kind of cannibalism when a part is removed from one object and sent to another,” said Alexander Bartosh.
According to him, first of all, Patriot will stand up for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “They will be deployed to protect command posts, obviously a government residence, and subsequently airfields where aircraft will be based, possibly supplied to Ukraine from abroad,” the expert noted.
According to the Financial Times, Ukraine received one of two Patriot systems promised by the US and Germany. Corresponding member of the Academy of Military Sciences of Russia Vladimir Kozin noted that dummies could arrive along with real anti-aircraft missile systems.
