Medvedev defeated Djokovic and reached the final of the ATP tournament in Dubai, where he will play with Rublev

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev reached the final of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Dubai. In the semi-finals, the 27-year-old athlete beat the world number one Serb Novak Djokovic with a score of 6:4, 6:4.

Thus, in the final, Medvedev will play against his compatriot Andrei Rublev, who today beat Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the semifinals. It is worth noting that Medvedev and Rublev became the first Russians in 14 years to meet in the final of the ATP tournament in singles. The last stage of the competition in Dubai will take place tomorrow, March 4th.
