Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of running again in the 2028 presidential election if he loses the upcoming November 5 election. According to a BBC report, Trump made this statement in an interview on Sunday (September 22).
In an interview with the Sinclair Media Group, Trump was asked if he would run again if he lost the election to Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. In response, the former Republican president said, “No, I won’t. I think… this is the last one (referring to the possibility of running again).”
Although Trump has expressed confidence about winning the upcoming election, saying “I hope we’ll be very successful,” it is unlikely that he will be able to run again in 2028 due to US laws that prevent a president from serving more than two terms.

The 78-year-old Trump has been the Republican candidate in three consecutive national elections. He won the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton, but lost to Democratic candidate Joe Biden in 2020.
In the upcoming November 5 election, Trump’s opponent is Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, the current US Vice President. Recent polls have shown Harris surpassing Trump in popularity.
