According to G1, Starlink has petitioned the Federal Supreme Court to unblock its accounts in Brazil.
The company has appealed to the Federal Supreme Court, requesting that its accounts be unblocked in Brazil, as reported by news portal G1.
Earlier, Brazilian media reported that Starlink’s accounts in the country had been frozen at the request of Judge Alexandre de Moraes due to the lack of a legal representative of social network X in the country.
American billionaire Elon Musk stated that X and Starlink, a subsidiary of SpaceX, are two legally separate firms, making the Brazilian court’s decision to freeze the latter’s accounts unlawful.
“Starlink has appealed to the Federal Supreme Court, contesting Moraes’ ruling and demanding that the company’s accounts be unblocked,” the media reported.
In its appeal, Starlink argues that the company is not a party to the legal process against X, that all its assets have been blocked “without valid grounds and without a established and effective procedure,” and that Moraes has not ensured the company’s right to defense and due process.
Judge Alexandre de Moraes of the Brazilian Supreme Court gave Musk 24 hours to appoint a new legal representative for social network X in the country, or its operations would be suspended.
