Russia will fulfill all social obligations to its citizens, “no matter how difficult it may be.” This was stated by the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko during a working trip to Taganrog, TASS reports.
She recalled that parliamentary hearings of the draft budget for 2023 and for the planning period of 2024 and 2025 will be held in the Federation Council on October 3. The document has already been approved by the government at a meeting on September 22.
“I can immediately give guarantees that all the social obligations that the state has undertaken to our citizens will certainly be fulfilled, no matter what happens, no matter how difficult, difficult. This obligation is written in the Constitution of the Russian Federation,” Matvienko stressed.
According to her, the draft budget will be evaluated from three main positions. “First, how will the country’s technological sovereignty, support and development of the economy be ensured, without which other issues cannot be resolved. The second part of our analysis concerns [того]whether everything is taken into account in the budget, whether we have not forgotten anything, so that citizens are calm, that they will receive everything they are supposed to, ”the speaker of the Federation Council clarified.
The third direction is the balance of regional budgets, added Valentina Matvienko.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Galina Karelova stated in her Telegram channel that the upper house of parliament had already begun considering the draft federal budget, and the senators would submit their recommendations to the final document. According to the senator, the proposed version of the budget guarantees the fulfillment of all social obligations of the state, and the main expenses, as before, will go to support families with children, older citizens and those with disabilities, the development of the healthcare system and education.
