Match TV will not use drones to shoot RPL matches due to a ban by the authorities

The sports channel MATCH TV will stop using unmanned aerial vehicles for filming RPL matches. Yesterday, May 3, Moscow and a number of other regions of the country banned the use of UAVs, in addition to those launched by decision of the authorities.

“Of course, the ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles introduced in the regions of our country also applies to our work as part of the production of broadcasts,” said “RB SPORT” in the press service of MATCH TV.

The ban on the launch of UAVs in Moscow on May 3 was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. Shortly after the statement by the mayor of the capital, the press service of the Russian president announced an attempt by two Ukrainian drones to attack the Kremlin residence of Vladimir Putin on the night of May 3.

Following Moscow, it was forbidden to launch drones, in particular, in the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Pskov, Sverdlovsk regions. In several regions, the restriction on the launch of UAVs has been in effect since the fall of 2022 in connection with the presidential decree of October 19 on response levels.
