Under a cloudy sky with drizzle and a cool breeze, thousands flooded streets across US cities, including Washington, DC, in a massive outcry against Donald Trump and his ally Elon Musk.

Described as the largest public uprising against them, protests erupted in over 1,200 locations in a single day, with more than 20,000 gathering around DC’s monuments alone, according to organizers. Nearly 150 human rights and social groups united, fueling demonstrations not just in the US but also in Canada and Mexico, Reuters reported.
Protesters voiced alarm over Trump’s policies—trade tariffs, government job cuts, education interference, and inflammatory rhetoric—claiming America’s core values and institutions face attack.
Crowds waved Ukrainian flags wore Palestinian keffiyehs, and held signs demanding “Free Palestine,” transforming movement into a global stage for dissent.
A retired worker expressed fury over Trump’s economic plans warning that steep tariffs would devastate farmers, slash jobs and cut retirement benefits, with many already facing thousands in losses.
While protests raged Trump played golf at his Florida club retreating to his Mar-a-Lago resort, just 6 kilometers from West Palm Beach, where 400 more rallied.
Drivers honked in support and one sign read, “Stock market crashes Trump plays golf.” Beyond the US, hundreds of anti-Trump American citizens gathered in Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, and London, amplifying the global unrest.
