Drone attacks on Moscow

Pilots of two Aeroflot flights reported a drone heading towards Moscow. This was reported by the Mash telegram channel. According to the channel, the drone did not prevent the ships from completing their voyage.

“A drone in the sky almost turned around two passenger planes flying to Moscow,” the report said. According to the channel, crews of Airbus A320 and Boeing 738 aircraft reported a blue-and-white drone.

The pilots of flight AFL1339 Mineralnye Vody – Moscow reported an object in the sky in front of them at noon on September 23. According to the commander, it looked like a drone about a meter long, which was heading towards the capital at an altitude of about 2.6 km. The drone was lower, so it did not interfere with the plane’s path.

According to the channel, a second similar message was received 15 minutes later. The information came from flight AFL1269 Kazan – Moscow. It is noted that the drone was flying at an altitude of approximately 1.8 km

A URA.RU correspondent sent a request to Aeroflot. A response is awaited.

Previously, two flights from Yekaterinburg to Moscow were delayed due to a drone attack on the Russian capital on the night of September 17. The head of the All-Russian Association of Passengers (OOP), Ilya Zotov, told State Duma deputy Maria Butina that a law may appear in the Russian Federation that will oblige airlines to compensate the cost of tickets to passengers who are late for connecting flights due to threats of UAV attacks on airports.
