For propaganda of “Russian fascist Nazism and chauvinism” and “participation in acts of humanitarian aggression against Ukraine,” Russian blogger Maxim Katz (recognized as an alien) was included in the database of the Ukrainian website “Peacemaker”. It publishes data of public figures and organizations whose activities the administration of the resource regards as a threat to the security of Ukraine.
“Russian political and public figure, director of the City Projects Foundation. The author of the YouTube channel of the same name, the first champion of Russia in sports poker, a former deputy of the municipal assembly of the Moscow district of Shchukino (III convocation 2012-2016) from the Yabloko party, ”is a biographical information about Mr. Katz on the Peacemaker website.
The portal also published several screenshots of the blogger’s social media pages. In particular, a screenshot of Mr. Katz’s tweet was posted on Mirtvorets, in which he wrote that “the Russian opposition owes nothing to anyone, especially to Ukrainians.”
Maksim Katz was deputy head of opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s campaign headquarters when he ran for mayor of Moscow in 2013. After the entry of the Russian armed forces into the territory of Ukraine, Mr. Katz consistently criticizes the policy of the Russian authorities, while also challenging a number of pro-Ukrainian political theses on his Twitter.
